New Blog
Aug 12th
Dave PC Guy will be splitting off. My articles will be migrating to a new server and a new website. They will remain here, yes, for some time, I cannot guarantee how long. A copy of everything will be migrated to the new website and I will no longer be writing articles. However, that does not mean that Dave PC Guy will die all of a sudden, it simply means that it’s branching off. I will update soon as to where the new website is, and such after I set it up.
formspring.me
Mar 4th
I have been looking over several new, starting up, social websites. It’s no secret that the best way to get noticed, and the best way to promote oneself is using social networking these days. We all have a facebook, many of us have a facebook GROUP or a FANPAGE made for our blog/company/product and it works well to an extent. I’ve seen blog posts on web promotion recommending the use of stumbleupon, digg, and other popular bookmarking sites.
Here is an interesting new site. Formspring.me has made itself known to me a few months ago when my friends on facebook started posting links to their accounts.
SpyBot s&d howto and why
Nov 24th
SpyBot is like one of my most favorite spyware programs out there. Its free, which is important, but mostly it really works. Sadly, there are some people who seem to have the need to pay for these programs, yet it is unnecessary. Therefore, spybot is very good addition for curing your sick PC.
Easy as pie to install and even easier to use.

Defragment! Yes, you should (have to)…

Defraggler
Download it for FREE at defraggler.com. When my friends ask me how to speed up their computers, or just plaincomplain about their computers being slow, I have few steps. One of my steps is to tell them to “defragg” their hard drive. With the new era coming in with humongous hard drives the defragmenting is more and more nescessary. First of all and advice, Your main hard drive or the one that has your operating system on it should be less than 320GB. You ask why? You need only about 100GB, if that, for your operating system and other programs. For your data: MP3, pictures, and movies use the big hard drives like 1TB or bigger. The reason being, is when you defragment your main hard drive, the one with operating system, you will not really add that much stuff, well not as much as a library of songs or pictures. If you follow this then defragmenting will not be needed that often and will take significantly less time.
Well now to the software…

Success
Sep 12th
It looks like our past couple of weeks running this website has resulted in a great success. My Color Scheme Designer 3 post received 416 clicks on good-tutorials while my PHP Error Handling tutorial received 178 clicks. And the numbers keep mounting. All have been retweeted on twitter uncountable (about 15?) times. This is truly amazing. I never fathomed our website/blog would get this much attention so fast so I’m glad for all your support and I’m truly glad I thought of submitting my tutorials to other sites online.
Now, when I get off my lazy ass, I’ll submit some more tutorials, all of them centered on photoshop. I don’t want to be a sell-out but Photoshop tutorials get the most attention. Attention = more traffic and more traffic = more money. I’m a college student, and it can’t be helped if I want to make enough a month to pay for gas and books. Understandable, right?
Here’s what you can look forward to in the next few days from me:
Updates
Sep 9th
Alright, here are some updates. Exan’s Corner has been updated to include two free PSD templates. The third one should be up tomorrow, I still need to do some editing on it. Check it out though.
Dave will be posting a few new articles by the end of the week but ’till then, it’s all up to me. I should have one ready for you about color theory. And I’ll have another tutorial about photoshop later on.
I’m thinking about doing more news stories so you’ll see those later on.
First post
Sep 4th
Alright, here we are! This is the first official post of the blog. I’ve finally set up everything, as I am the webmaster it seems. Look for more later. Most of the sections are still under construction but will feature content in the next few days. Most, if not all, of our blogs will deal with the newest technology as well as everyday computer help. You’ll find that my own blog posts will focus on the internet, on graphic design, and web-development. They are my hobbies and I know enough about the topics to write and help you out if you have a problem. Dave on the other hand is more of a hands-on person, you’ll find his blogs dealing with computer maintenance, computer repair, tune-ups. Generally, you’ll find his blogs to be extremely useful. Anyways, here’s a quick run-down of what our site will feature:
“Dave’s Workshop” will focus on Dave’s work and that is with computer hardware and software. He’ll be writing reviews of programs and various processors, hard-drives etc. The Workshop itself will show different projects he’s working on, as well as tips&tricks.
“Exan’s Corner”, my corner, will feature different web templates and the work that I do. I mostly focus on web-development and design so that’s what you’ll see there. I’ll post some free content such as wallpapers, scripts, and templates.
